The Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST) has been designed to assist in the assessment of sexually compulsive or addictive behaviors.

It has been developed in cooperation with hospitals, treatment programs, private therapists, and community groups. The SAST test provides a profile of responses that help to discriminate between addictive and non-addictive behaviors.

Who can take the Sexual Addiction Screening Test?

As a quick and easy sex addiction quiz, anybody can take it. Whether you’re worried that sex addiction is something you may be suffering with, or you’re concerned about a loved one, the test can give you an indication of whether or not there’s a serious problem. Please note that this is not a diagnostic tool. Sex addiction can only be diagnosed by a qualified professional, but it will provide you with a great indication of whether or not you should seek help.

How does the sexual addiction test work?

The test consists of 45 yes or no questions. Simply provide your answer to each question and this will be used to determine if you may be suffering from sex addiction. SAST-R scoring is calculated by comparing your profile against the profile of thousands of people with and without the addiction who were surveyed in the creation of the SAST test.

How long does the test take?

This is a three-minute sex addiction test and screening. For most people, it doesn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. Try not to overthink your answers – you should provide honest answers based on your behaviors.

My score indicates that a sex addiction could be present, what now?

We highly recommend that you book a consultation with a sex addiction therapist. They will be able to properly diagnose and treat the condition. Together you can work on dealing with past traumatic issues and building a happier and healthier life for both yourself and your loved ones.
